Virtual Piano Studio™ is a Networked Music Performance Studio
Virtual Piano Studio™ is a Networked Music Performance Studio providing a structured environment where you may perform, record, and develop your work over time. Built initially to leverage JackTrip, a networked performance technology developed at Stanford, our model works equally well with commercial video conference and live music performance platforms, through which we enable new production processes for independent artists.
Virtual Piano Studio™ is a service of Perpendicular Systems, the technology division of Virtual Harmonics, LLC.
Virtual Piano Studio offers a cohort-based piano studio for people who want to learn music with others, not alone.
This is not a drop-in lesson service.
Virtual Piano Studio™ provides a cohort-based performance environment where participants:
• develop repertoire over time
• record real performances
• participate in structured sessions
• build work they can actually use
This is a long-form practice — not a short series.
We teach music as patterns you can see and feel—not just notes you read.
This studio is built on methods I developed over 15+ years of teaching playing-based methods to students of all ages, including approaches that help students who never felt comfortable with traditional music reading.

Check out this great video of my new program: Painting Music™ - Object Oriented Music™, OOM™ which is producing an "OOM Sketch" - or a visual map - of the symbolic instruction set that I use when I am playing the piano. So it is a map - of the instruction set - that I use in my mind - as a piano teacher who has specialized in methods of playing the piano - built on playing-based knowledge - rather than traditional notes.
