Raffy Espiritu Interview with Artist Amy Lynn Freeman

This interview with curator Raffy Espiritu was recorded during the early public exhibition of The Singer’s Tears. It reflects the work as it was understood at that moment — before later developments, extensions, and reinterpretations.

I am preserving it here as a contemporaneous record of the painting’s initial public framing.

Amanda Griffith interviews Creators of Computer Music

Wow I had lost track of these photos!  You know how when you move you find things buried in your stacks of books that you had completely lost track of - need to get back to this project!  Back in 2010 I had the honor of interviewing Max Matthews and John Chowning, the inventors of Computer Music, the patent of which was sold to Yamaha - was the most lucrative patent up until Google:) - and has provided the funding for Stanford's Center for Computer Research and Acoustics (CCRMA) ever since!  There's a lot of inspiration in those tapes - need to find and release them!
