Bel Canto Productions is an independent music production entity specializing in performance-driven recording projects, live musical production, and collaborative works.

Engagements are structured as professional production blocks, reflecting the full scope of preparation, execution, and opportunity cost required for high-level artistic work.

Bel Canto Productions undertakes projects that may include one or more of the following:

• Live performance production (featured or ensemble) 
• Recording projects (remote or in-studio)
• Improvisational and collaborative work
• Hybrid projects combining performance and recording
   

All engagements are treated as production work, not casual appearances.

$1,000 per engagement block

A production engagement block typically includes:

• Up to 2 hours of live performance or recording 
• Preparation and project context 
• Local travel, load-in, and soundcheck (for live work) 
• Professional availability for the agreed engagement window
   

This rate applies equally to:

• live performance projects 
• recording sessions 
• rehearsal-intensive collaborations
• hybrid performance/recording engagements
   

• Engagements requiring additional time are billed in additional $1,000 blocks
• Multi-day projects are quoted individually
• Rehearsals are not bundled into performance or recording time and reserve their own engagement block(s)
   

This pricing reflects:

• professional-level performance skill 
• recording and production expertise 
• preparation and artistic responsibility
   

For comparison, producer or studio time for comparable work is frequently billed at equal or higher rates, exclusive of performance.

• Unpaid performances or recording sessions are not accepted 
• Guest appearances, sit-ins, and informal collaborations are treated as production engagements 
• Engagements are confirmed upon agreement of scope and terms
• Payment is due prior to the engagement unless otherwise arranged in writing
• Meals provided or reimbursed for in-person engagements
